"This summer Lazarides Rathbone presents Misha Most, a radical artist at the forefront of Russia's contemporary art scene. The controversial graffiti artist will be taking residency at our London-based artist studios and embarking on unique site-specific pieces for his UK debut. Hailing from Moscow, the artist's creative exploits are often harsh and brutalistic in nature, capturing the way in which humans perceive meaning as well as the absurdity of the structures and ideologies that surround us. Most's new body of work follows group showcases previously exhibited in Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, USA, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and France.

... Casus Pacis / «Повод к миру». Первоначально кураторы решили посвятить её 100-летию Первой мировой войны, но затем намеренно обратили внимание на текущий исторический момент. Около 30 российских и 27 украинских художников, 5 участников из стран Европы и Америки выразили свою рефлексию на происходящее. И вписали в индустриальный ландшафт Завода слоистых пластиков работы во всех известных медиа-жанрах – монументальной живописи, скульптуре, графике, инсталляции, видео-арте. Выставка Casus Pacis / «Повод к миру» была включена в параллельную программу биеннале современного искусства Manifesta 10, прошедшую в Санкт-Петербурге.

Initially made for the exhibition dedicated to the war and peace topic named “Casus Pacis” (reason for peace) The work speaks on the differences and at the same time close ties of the world countries, though at the same time catching each nation into a common globalization web you cant get out from alike the fly and the spider.

"Big cities are the spiritual home of graffiti art. Moscow has MISCHA MOST, one of the most imaginative graffiti artists of the post-soviet era. Today, his artistic talent is well known throughout Western Europe, and not just on the streets. His artwork has gone from building walls to the leading galleries for modern art. Most is not afraid to tackle sensitive issues and is a master of social criticism. He paints messages in large letters and brings city landscapes to life with subtle lines. His art is explicitly defined by <No Future Forever>, a motto intrinsically tied to the British punk scene of the 1980s. Many of his works are based on the defeatist paradigm <consume, work, die>, while Most attempts to explore the ever more complex situations in today‘s capitalist-driven world.
